Veneer from Europe
Large quantities of veneer are purchased from our neighbouring countries and from countries in the remoter parts of Europe. That is where we obtain many of the popular wood species that are useful as front veneer of all shapes and sizes.
From European forestry and veneer plants, DaVeCo offers the following wood species: Ash (white), ash (olive), beech (lightly steamed), beech (unsteamed), birch, fir, maple, oak, and pine.
All other wood species can be made available upon request.
Veneer from North America
As a supplement to the European species, we purchase raw products and veneer in North America. The quality is high, and when the exchange rate is in our favour, we are able to purchase quality products at very reasonable prices. The wood species are primarily used for front veneer.
From North American forestry and veneer plants, DaVeCo offers the following wood species: cherry, maple, walnut, oak (red), and oak (white).
All other wood species can be made available upon request.
Veneer from Africa
Africa is where we find what is probably the broadest selection of wood species anywhere. Some are primarily used as mid-section layers and inserts in doors, etc., whereas other species are ideal as front veneer. For connoisseurs we offer veneer made from wengé, sapeli, and khaya. Among other things, these are used for custom designed furniture and exclusive ship fixtures.
